National Student Employment Week

The key to a successful career once finishing university is preparation

Business Bridge is proud to support National Student Employment Week, which will be from 28th February until 4 March 2005. Student employment services from across the UK will be hosting events designed to help bring students and employers together.

National Student Employment Week is held every year and is organised by NASES (The National Association of Student Employment Services). NASES is the national representative body for practitioners from all styles of job shops, including those in students' unions, careers services and personnel offices.


Liverpool Hope University College have scheduled various events including a CV writing workshop (28th February) and a psychometric testing session (3rd March). There will be presentations on studying and working abroad (1st March), how to brand yourself to employers (4th March) and a talk by Frontier about research and conservation work overseas (1st March). Roadshows and competitions are also planned for the week.

At the University of Liverpool, PULSE is organizing a Liverpool jobs fair on Thursday 3rd March, at which Business Bridge will have a stand. There will also be two Business Bridge seminars running in Careers - "Finding Work Experience in Merseyside" (1st March, 3-4pm) and "Making the most of your Skills" (4th March 1-2pm)

At Liverpool John Moore's University, there will be roadshows around the different campuses on National Student Employment Week. Regular workshops will be run by the career department this semester to improve students' future employability.
