Business Bridge Award Winners
Business Bridge are delighted to report that Olusegun Adetunji, a student from Liverpool Hope University has won the national Student Employee of the Year Award 2007 (http://www.nases.org.uk/ ). This is the second time in 3 years that a Business Bridge student has won the award following on the success of LJMU student Natalie Muldoon in 2005 (see webpage link).
Olu beat off competition from across the country and thoroughly deserved his award for work carried out at Wirral Joint Community Safety, a department of Wirral Borough Council. Olu worked on an IT system whilst studying for his degree and his hard work has proved extremely fruitful. Not only did Olu gain a First class degree but he has now been employed full-time by Wirral Borough Council and they are delighted with his work.
Bob Little, information Communication Manager, said, “Olu has a pleasant and engaging personality, he copes extremely well with the diverse array of problems and social situations he has encountered and is always appreciative of opportunities. His enthusiasm, (even in the most trying of circumstances) is nothing short of irrepressible only matched by his discipline, diligence and motivation.”
Prior to this work Olu had also worked for FDL Packaging Ltd in St Helens where the Sales Manager, David Scotting also spoke extremely highly of Olu, “Olu has made our web presence much more professional and has shown the depth of the group of companies. With this understanding of the business, using his own initiative and design flair, he developed creative and informative websites.
Olu was honest, punctual and reliable. He worked autonomously and fitted into the office environment extremely well. I can see this project leading to Olu doing further work for us and him becoming a valuable employee to any business in the future." Olu received his award at the NASES annual conference at the University of Newcastle.

In addition, the Business Bridge team was delighted to learn that it has won the AGCAS Employability Award 2007. The announcement was made at the AGCAS biennial conference in Birmingham (http://www.agcas.org.uk/ ).
