How can Business Bridge help me?

Business Bridge gives you the chance to gain valuable, relevant work experience and to develop a wide variety of skills. Students also undertake work through Business Bridge to get references, to enhance their CV, to practise skills learned on their course and to gain an insight into the type of career they are thinking about going into.

Projects are also paid at least the minimum wage, though we set a guideline to companies of £35 to £45 per day (for a 7 hour day excluding lunch). Some employers may be willing to pay more, but this is at the discretion of the employer and should be discussed at interview.

Community Work

For volunteering opportunities with a difference, Community Bridge offers a variety of project placements within community and voluntary sector organisations across Merseyside.

University of Liverpool students should contact Sarah Jones at Community Bridge in the Careers & Employability Service . Tel: 0151 794 5826 or Sarah.Jones@liv.ac.uk.

Liverpool Hope University students should contact their Careers Service for voluntary opportunities. Tel: 0151 291 3417 or e-mail careers@hope.ac.uk.

Students from Universities outside the Business Bridge partnership

Business Bridge is now able to extend its successful student placement service. Students studying at other UK universities who normally reside in Merseyside and Cheshire are invited to use the service during the holidays. For further information please click here.
